I was born in Michigan and grew up in small town Wisconsin. I never wanted to be a pastor growing up. I distinctly remember laughing out loud when one of my high school teachers suggested I consider it! I’m not exactly sure what changed my mind. Scratch that….. I do. God’s grace changed my mind and it still does over and over again. That’s why I am a pastor. God showed his love to me and now I get to show others how he has loved them too. He loved them (and YOU) by sending us Jesus.
I started my journey at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN and graduated in 2011. There I received a BA in Classical Languages focusing on the Biblical languages of Greek and Hebrew. I continued my studies for four more years at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. There I continued my Biblical language studies along with preaching, teaching, pastoral care, etc. I spent my internship year in Brookings, SD at Our Savior Lutheran Church from 2013-2014. I graduated in 2015 with a Master of Divinity.
At the time of my graduation, I was called to serve as a high school campus pastor at Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI. There I taught Church History, Revelation, coached football and baseball, managed the dormitory, and even drove some bus.
After two years, God called me to Mountain View Lutheran here in Great Falls in the summer of 2017. My wonderful wife Rachel and I are blessed with three beautiful girls; Reese, Brynn, and Blakelynn. God is good!
I love meeting people, hearing their stories, and having honest conversations about our relationship with God. I would love to sit down with you over a coffee, meal, campfire, or in some water to fish. Let me know what time works for you!
